OAP workout

BW: 220

One arm lat pulldown on a real latpulldown machine

RH:6x8,11+1x2, 11+1x2,11+1x2,11+1x2,11+1x2

LH: 6x8,11x3,11x3,11x3,11x3,11x3

* "8", "10" etc.. is what the plates were labeled I know good and well they aren't multiples of 10lbs because I was warming up with 110 at the other gym and if anything this latpulldown is easier because I'm actually anchored. Whatever they were I got a great workout which is really what matters

**plus one refers to one of those plates you can clip to the top of the stack

2 45's on the cushions

a couple of very brief lockouts with lots of bounce and a couple of breif negatives did 5-6 sets in all

2.5" HM pinchblock

LH: 50,75x0, 75x3/4 lockout, 75, 80x0,75x0

RH: 50, 75, 80x0,80x0,80x0,75x0,75x0,75x0

Decided to do some blob stuff at this point

Blob50

RH: lockout, 2 fingers using finger press methodxhalf lockout

LH: lockout using finger press method, lockout using finger press method

Blob50 on cushions

RH: 2 good lockouts with 2 fingers and 2 fair lockouts with two fingers, several lockouts with full grip and six reps on burnout set

LH: 5-6 lockouts and several 3/4 lockouts

Tetting O-ring: I got this for Christmas and still hadn't tried it so I decided there is no time like the present....

100=easy

200=easy

300=not too bad

345=glued to the floor

This is a pretty fun lift. It kills your hand once you get over 300 but it's a lot of fun. I might start training this if I get bored with the grippers. I'll definetly need to watch some videos of David Horne as I really had no clue what I was doing :D

HG300(LH): 1,1,0,0,0 then cheated it shut and held it shut for 10 seconds

Not much time to do grippers tonight but I'm very happy with the MM2 work PTL :bow I have no idea what happened lefty tonight. I couldn't get the gripper to bite worth a crap. It kept slipping back towards my thumb. I'm just going to see how long I can hold it shut until I can get some reps.

HG300: 0 then 12 sec hold shut, 0 then 12 sec hold shut, 0 then 10 sec hold shut, 0 then 6 sec hold shut, 0 then 0 seconds hold shut

Another pathetic night lefty. I don't know what's wrong

I dropped off pretty quick righty. I put some athletic tape on my 45's and now I can get some nice holds/negatives on the cushions but still no air without. I was jacking around with these between sets. I'm going to leave them completely alone tommorrow during the workout and see if I have different results

HG 300: did holds again since I can no longer close it for even a single rep :angry: 20s, 15s, 9s, 7s,

MM2: 10,10,8,6,0,0,0,0,0,1 (35)...wanted to finish on a positive note

Avg#3: 30 then drop immediatlely to #2 for 48

LH

HG300: 15s hold shut, 10s hold shut, 5 sec hold shut,

#2: 27, 17...got that shooting pain between the knuckles like I did during KTA so I put it up for the night lefty, hand is still throbbing now.

*Time for two days rest. I think I'll hit the MM2 again next week RH. I want to be able to get to at least 100 reps in a workout before my test day.

#2: 36 reps...hand started to hurt between first two knuckles so I put it up

Pinch workout

I missed this during my off days from the program so I figured I'd make it up after the gripper workout

RH: 10 lockouts and then holds till failure, PR was 3 sec hold

LH: 10 lockouts and then hold till failure, PR was 2 sec hold

7-1-05

I finally got around to testing tonight to see what the results of the Greg and Dave High Volume experiment were. I had a pretty good attempt on the #4, definetly 1/4" or less, no choker. The bad part is the strongest part of my attempt was off camera. I tell you what, filming yourself is harder than it looks. Oh well, I'll get better with the camera and that's the best I've done on the #4 in a long time. I repped my BBGE with 1/4" mounting, total baby reps, but I repped it. Of course I screwed up the camera work again and it looks like I only closed it once, and even that one is shady, the rest of it just looks like I'm wiggling it around with about a credit card thickness in between the handles.. Finally, I closed my Phantom 4 dud and didn't even mess up the camera work. I was THRILLED about this PTL :bow:bow:bow:bow .

If anybody knows how to shrink videos or film without creating monsterous files I'd appreciate some tips. My vids are between 40-90 something MB a piece. I have no idea how I'm going to post something that large.

I'm starting an internship in August so I'm pretty busy trying to get all my ducks in a row and I'll be even busier once it starts. I like this high volume gripper work so I'm going to try and stick with it but it will be a scaled back version. I'm still going to try and do the 5 day's on 2 off but I'm only going to do 5-10 sets to failure.
