Most of the competitor lineup is set, but I’m hopeful on a couple more surprise entries! Below is all the contest info. Competitors and fans alike, please use this thread for questions, comments, predictions, training, strategy, cheering, congratulations, friendly trash talk and more! Date: January 6 - March 2, 2025 Bars and Scoring: All FBBC stock, there will be five different bars and each person will receive two of each bar, but at different lengths. The shorter version of each bar is worth 2 points and the longer version is worth one point for a contest maximum of 10 total points - competitors can cut their 1 point version to make it a 2 point version if they wish. Total bending time will break ties. Bastard (5/16” round): 4.5” and 5” Hexabastard (5/16” hex): 5” and 5.5” Duke of All Bastards (11/32” round): 5.5” and 6” Monster Square (5/16” square): 6.5” and 7” King of All Bastards (3/8” round): 7” and 7.5” Rules/Wraps/Filming: We’ll be using Horrido rules. Unbraced to 2”, unlimited wraps and crush pads, 5 minute time limit, full cert style video uploaded to YouTube. Registration and Qualifications: Entry is free but quasi-invitational.Jan’s recommendation after the first KOCRS was “For all readers to make clear that this was a hard competition: in my opinion you should be able to bend a 8.8 bolt easily (easily means with less than 10 hits and or in around a minute) and you should have experience with the different lengths to get part of it.” Prizes: First Place: $250 USD (if you live somewhere I can’t easily send money I’ll donate it to a charity you care about) Second Place: @bendingcult steel care package All successful bends will also receive a special commemoration from Jan!!!
