John Knowlton
Yes, you can do this. You have so much to be thankful in your life. you trained hard and overcome many obstacles so yes, you will win. The grandfather will be proud. I would say good luck in the contest. But you don’t need it.You are strong enough to do this, and you will overcome and win.

Given the current stakes, I am taking this as an opportunity to sharpen my mental focus, and gather my tenacity. I never get nervous armwrestling people, I learned to step up and be confident when competing from wrestling in high school. But I never had a situation like this. I'd say I get more nervous for my teammates, I'm way more scared that they will lose rather than me, funnily enough.
Londonjoseph
Yesterday was 20x hard horseshoe isometrics, just the kink. Been working the crush lately so I wanted to move back to working the kink. Went to practice some armwrestling with 3 of my strong friends. It was a great time. Ate two gargantuan burgers in the middle of training. We must have done 50+ pulls each

Londonjoseph
Haven't wrestled in 6 years, but I went to an open mat jujitsu class yesterday. It was a small place, and I expected it to be hobbyists mostly. However everyone had cauliflower ear and they were brown or black belts. I stretched very well, and got to rolling with some guys. I noticed they didn't hand-fight a lot, and always opted for an inside tie when we were starting neutral. I retained a LOT of muscle memory, and my shots were very good. I still had a very large repertoire of moves and setups, but none were too applicable to jujitsu. Anytime I got a good shot they wouldn't sprawl they would just pull guard. Those guys were straight up shower shark booty bandits. They beat the dog sh*t out of me. I'm glad I didn't get oil checked. It was a lot of fun, but I feel super sore and beat up. Totally worth it tho.
