I worked from home today, and whenever I needed a break, I did a mini DU session. Like a smoke break, but healthier😂.

Mostly CRS, some drill rods as well, nothing particularly hard, but it adds up

Left are One IMP bends (hardest was 9/32" x 7"), right are 1.2" single leathers bends (hardest were 5/16" x 6.5")

I didn't mark the bars this time, so some are really off-center, but it doesn't matter, fun day

Thats what it's all about. it's supposed to be fun. nice work

Grippers RH

20mm block set
- 5x3 Standard Adjustable Ti, RGC 137, 2-sec pause on each rep
20mm (bottom) choked
- 2x3 Stainless Adjustable, RGC 156

I did some 15kg plate curls with my LH during the rest periods.

I tried training grippers only once per week for this cycle, but I'm kinda "worried". This volume feels ridiculously low for once per week. Well, we will see in 1-2 weeks when I try max. The result of the previous cycle (training twice per week) was 20mm block set - RGC 156 Ni, and MMS - RGC 160 Adjustable W. I have a feeling I will be lucky to hit the same numbers. But who knows!

This week I wrapped up one more project I needed to finish by the end of September, and after that, honestly I just had a few days off. I wanted to make bacon-wrapped venison backstrap stuffed with jalapeno cream cheese for a while now so I did that, also made a lot of pickles, started some chili ferments for hot sauce, played guitar...

Grippers came home from CPW (I've sent them for rating a few months ago by surface mail because it's cheap).

Great customer service from CPW as usual!

From left to right, top to bottom:
- CoC #3 double stamped/number only: 143
This is the only collectible gripper I have if we don't count the GHPs. Better knurling than modern CoCs.
- Danno 100 steel-handled gripper: 163
I like this one because it's a "normal" wide gripper, and it's not with the 50lb Chinese springs. The handles are 18mm diameter which is ok but the knurling is too smooth for the spread.
- SMD #4 steel-handled gripper: 145
The spring is super nice on this one, and the wire diameter is quite large but the spread is narrow (hence the rating). Knurling is very weak, but I don't really mind it on this one because it's narrow and easy to set. The handles are slightly larger than 18mm (not just because of the knurling), maybe the stock was in imperial units (23/32" instead of 18mm).
Anyways, this thing is super heavy 😅
- GHP #7: 140
My MM0 gripper :). It was kinda sad how the spring looked so I tried to make it nice and shiny again. I included a before-after picture; it's not like brand a new GHP, but not bad. I will try to take better care of it from now on and oil it frequently.
- GHP #8: 170
A little below average #8. I'm glad it's not smg crazy like 180.
