Just been to my local hardware store and got two types of nails

6 inch steel nail x 150mm

5.6 inch steel  nail x 125mm

Please tell me which one would take more force to bend !

Many Thanks

Not an expert but i think you made an mistake with measurements. 150mm is bit under 6 inches.

Or perhaps you are trolling.

150 mm and the 125 mm are the thickness of the stock and the length is 6 inch and 5.6 inch

So they are practically squares then?

Yeah, these measurements don't really make any sense:  6" x 5.91" and 5.6" x 4.92".....You would need a hydraulic press to bend those pieces!

If he added an extra 0 by accident to the "thickness in mm's" and I were to assume he might have meant 15 and 12.5 mm's respectively...those pieces of steel are still basically unbendable.

Perhaps he'll chime in when he finds the correct measurements.

depends on the steel.  but put either in a press and they will bend.  with those measurements, no human could bend that steel, so it doesnt really matter whats harder.

You need to post the diameter before we might help you.  :)  Either put both in inches or both in metric.
