Can I ask what the wrist thingy is, can you post a picture?

Please look in the thread titled Wrist Thingy under selling - there is a video.
Do you mean under stores? I guess I don't have access since I'm new here.

Sorry but there's nothing I know how to do that will help with this problem. My tech skills are really lacking.

I'm surprised no one else has taken it upon themselves to manufacture one! That is one heck of an idea!

If we are talking about wrist strength, I have to mention Hunter Push-Up Spikes. They are pretty fun, since if you mess up you fall on your face/back, and they work a ton of muscle groups from grip to chest to core, but of all the muscle demands the highest are probably on wrist (and grip).

Full disclosure is that I make these things, but Jedd Johnson recently tested them out himself. You can see his review video at:

I'm totally not here just to plug them -- heck, I haven't even mentioned them on Gripboard until now -- but for wrist strength they really are worth trying out. The fact that strong people who try them -- even people who train forearms & grip -- tend to wobble and fall when they try them, is a testimonial to the fact that there's another type of wrist strength being overlooked.

I like pushups with a pinch grip on 12" pieces of 2x4. They're fun, but also not fun.

We tend to try to stop weight from escaping our grip. The above two posts are great examples of instead stopping weight coming against us. Almost reversing the process, in a way.

I like it. Might be cool with the ends shaved down to a point, too.

Good point.

Bending is a little less about preventing escape than preventing wrist buckling. It forces us to guard against the wrist bending, but the main bending torque is generally in one direction. We stress the radial side of the wrist when DO bending and the ulnar side when DU bending. The push-up spikes have the wrist in a relatively neutral position and oscillate every which way -- stressing the wrist on the radial, ulnar, volar, and dorsal sides -- in an unpredictable pattern.
