king crusher
The 3 foot lengths are actually a little long. 3/8ths longer exactly. Hmmm. So I just happen to have some 8 3/8th stock now.

king crusher
Haha true. I don't bend much it will take awhile. I still have an uncut L and M bar to cut up and now an uncut O and P. I usually bend one warm up bar then a hard bar and that's it.
king crusher
Here is everything I've bent. About 6 mo worth of bending. Edited September 24, 2014 by king crusher
Jared Goguen
Forgive me if this is a stupid question since I'm new to bending but what are the marks on your nails?
Tim71
Not sure what he does but a lot of people mark the center of the bar and some people mark their pad placement once they know how much of the bar they like in the pads. Marking the center helps because the more off-center a bend is, the harder it is. I could be wrong but I'd guess that's what he is doing.
king crusher
The markings on the unbent ones are to tell them all apart. The bent ones are as Tim says. Center is marked as well as 1.5" in from the edges as that's where I place the pads. As you can see it doesn't seem to help because most of my bends are off center anyway lol. So off center is harder Tim? Why am I going off center?
Sean Cashman
Nothing like fresh cut steel to get the bending juices flowing!

So off center is harder Tim? Why am I going off center? Usually it's a one of two reasons are most likely a combination of both. The more out on the ends of the bar you bend the more likely it will not be even and the majority of the time, it favors your dominate hand. In other words, if you're right handed, I'd say that the shorter leg was probably in that hand. Hope this helps.
king crusher
My right hand is for sure the stronger hand. I'll have to pay attention to which side is shorter. Thanks Tim.
