Reverse Bending 1/4" X 6" Grade 2

I stopped bending for the last two months or so while training and doing my last grip contest. I wanted to try some reverse bending this weekend after I did my grip workout and I was fairly pleased with my bends. I tried a grade 5 reverse after this but only got a small amount of movement out of it. I'm hoping to bend one at some point in the near future. This particular batch of grade 2's feel a little harder than the last 60d's I had so this is progress for me in the Reverse style.

Thanks for taking a look.

Very nice bend. Some G2 bolts can be pretty tough. I remember some with HKT on the head that were particular tough.

These Grade 2's were nothing too major, they were marked BBB. They absolutely pail in comparison to the bolts I have bent that are marked with a triangle. Even the Grade 5 triangles can give me trouble sometimes. I've bent a few 1/4" x 6" Grade 8 triangles and I would rate those as my hardest bends I have accomplished to date.

The grade 8 triangle bolts are currently very tough. I calibrated one at 500 pounds compared to 465 for the JH versions.

Eric Milfeld and I discussed this a few years back and I think the reason they are so tough is because they are made by a company called "Brighton Best" which is the company that makes the L9 fastening system. In my opinion, they now use the same alloy for the G8 bolts only that the L9 still has the thicker heads on them.
