I have several (similar) artificially kinked gold nails... that I am yet unable to move... in heavy leathers. Mike Sharkey Posted January 8, 2014 Share Posted January 8, 2014 With the caveat that I have never really bent prekinked steel, I too read Wiggy's explanation of mechanical v. human kinking of steel. I doubt seriously that it makes the bend THAT much easier, though I am sure it effects the way it feels, etc. However, I do not think it matters. He's working backward to a straight bar and downward to single IMP's, and it doesn't look like he is that far from either. IMO he should be within 6 months of actually certing it.
