Bending Again

Hitting shoes again has stoked up the bending fires. Did a session tonight at work, went pretty well.

Bastard, Huge Bastard, Grand Bastard all went down in under 1 minute each. Magnificent started well, but locked up at just over 90 degrees. Then rested for 3-4 minutes (not long enough), and wrapped up an Edgin. Got a decent warp, definitely have to get my flexibility worked on in the longer stuff again.

A quick question john: if i've bent 6 inches red nail in IM pads which fbbc stock should i buy?

I think shiny Bastard in 7" and 6,5" Bastards should be in that area or a little above.

Next goal should be a CRS or SS HEX in 1,5" wraps > an than in 1,25 .............

Hope that helps

I like how a very respected bender recommends big wraps then works them down smaller. (BB rant)

Cancrusher, I haven't tried a 6" red in IMPs but I've been working on 7" shiney bastards and 7" CRS hexabastards. If you can do a 7" golden bastard those are definitely the next nails to try. Also try O-1 drill rod. Unfortunately they can vary alot so maybe try 5/16" and 21/64". 21/64" might be the better size on average.
