abcampbell
I have never seen a training program for bending. I was curiuos if therre were any floating around or there were ones that people would like to share. I have been bending for about 2-3 months and I just based my routine on the info in Brookefield's book. I do grip 3 times per week. Once per week I do bending: 1) Start by bending nails until I hit one that stops me (usually I bend a 16d barn nail, then a 60d, then work on the yellow or blue until I can't bend it any more. 2) Move to rebar bends. Usually do a 3/8 and then a piece of 1/2 to parallel 3) then I use a split face cinder block to do 3 sets of 10 bent rows and 3 sets of 10 curls and hold it by pressing my plams flat into the sides of the brick. 4) Then I do bucket pick ups using 4x4 blocks where the middle one has a hook screw in the bottom and I hook it onto the bucket handle (filled with bricks) and pick it up by smashing the block between 2 other 4x4 blocks with my hands pressed flat into the sides 5) Then I do some bucket holds with a basebal and softball with a hood screw in it 6) Move to brick twists between the hands (which I can do 10 bricks or 6 bricks with a small cinder in the middle) 7) Then I do some tosses of a 30 pound rock between hands 8) finish with grippers mashed with 2 hands at chest level like I am bending. What do you think of the routine. Is it like what I should be doing? Suggestions?
