Mike Rinderle Posted September 12, 2011 Share Posted September 12, 2011 (edited) I believe I'm the 2nd person ever to bend one of these. I used 1.45" doubles and folded suede wraps for leg padding. I didn't plan on hitting one of these today, but I felt great and I murdered an SSP#1 right before this. This was a heck of a long battle (about 15 minutes, with a break to rewrap and get a drink of water). But I finally got one. If history proves a good teacher, I should be able to cert on this shoe in singles within the next 2-3 months. Very happy with this one. Note: David Wigren is the other person I know of who has documented a bend of this shoe. He can bend one in singles in about 1/10 of the time using no leg padding. Yea Jedd, these little shoes are quite a bit harder than a Diamond Special 5 or even a St. Croix Plain Regular #3. Especially on the kink. I appreciate you guys checking it out! Mike and I are currently looking for harder shoes to bend. Sure there are of shoes out there that are tougher, but they are getting harder to find. And since no one has really bent alot of tougher shoes than these, it is uncharted territory.
