Dude, Frank, that off center bend is sick, especially in IMP! Save that bugger and finish it sometime!

How did you bend these? Double overhand?

Bencrush/Acorn, one of the two, taught me to mark the nail with a sharpie before I wrap it up to help make sure the pads are even. Really helped with the off-center issue.

Good stuff :rock

Hi Matt,

I did those both DO. I couldn't budge them DU but I want to learn that style as well. Yes- I agree about marking the steel. I actually have done that with most of my bends. This was my first time trying the 60Ds and I didn't think I would even kink them. This one just went terribly aray and it felt awkward but I kept pushing on it. It actually hurt pretty bad on my left index finger (still hurts today) and also my right shoulder (not sore anymore thank God). I really have to work on my form.

People have often asked what the trick is to bending and I tell them there is no trick but there is technique or form that helps one maximize their power and put it into the nail, bolt or bar. Perfecting your personal technique (what feels most comfortable but gives you the best bends is what I mean) is crucial and will make your level of bending skyrocket without injury that will set you back. Most benders regardless of style have been injured to some degree at one time or another including myself trying for that next big PR. Sometimes it is trying to much to fast or trying so hard that their form gets off and this can lead to an injury. Build your base and perfect your technique and you will rise faster through the bending ranks than you have imagined. Most of this is common sense but I hope it helps a little.
