Bending Nails

Hi my name is Mike I'm new to this forum and to bending. I was wondering if anyone could help me out, my goal right now is to bend the 60 penny nail, I can bend the 40 penny but I don't know how to bridge the gap between the 40 and the 60 penny nail I've been looking for 50 penny nails all over the place but can't seem to find any. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've never been able to find 50d nails. Get some 1/4 x 6" Grade 2 bolts and work on those. Then try either 1/4 x 5.5" G2s or 1/4 x 7" CRS. You could then cut the CRS down toward 6." By this time, you should not have too much trouble with the 60ds.

This is just what I was going to suggest but buccos1 beat me to it. You could also get Jedd Johnson's new bending video to answer alot of your questions on a great many things regarding how to progress in bending using several different bending styles. I think the video would be a great edition to your bending arsenal my friend.
