hugh..mongus Posted August 30, 2010 Share Posted August 30, 2010 now, how would you guys cut it up as far as numbers? i got 40 feet of 1/4 inch since i know thats doable for me, i figured some 6,7 and maybe even 8 inch pieces. im thinkn make about 2/3's of them 7 inch pieces and then divide the remaining 1/3 into 6 and 8 inch pieces? thoughts as for the 5/16 i cant even start a red nail yet but wanted some to kink and work on, however it was only availible in 20 foot lengths so thats what i have. would starting with 9 or 10 inch peices make sence? work my way down to a real red nail over time? i wanted to get some steel that was a size or so down from 1/4 inch but thats the smallest this machine shops supplier could get me.
