This is something i really want to do. i got a girl i know that rides to hook me up with some old iron horse shoe's, they're alot smaller then i was expecting. sh said they also have aluminum shoes which i asked her to get me some of also.

i dont even know where to start on this idea, ive been bending spikes for a while now as a form of wrist training for arm wrestling. i was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction as far as technique(s) and ways to work up to that kind of wirst strength

thanks

I wouldn't recommend aluminum shoes because a lot of times they can break on you ... the most popular beginner shoe seems to be the St. Croix Ultralite #2 ... you can order them from FBBC ... just click the sponser link on the front page and it will take you there ... as far as technique, there are videos and discussions riddled all over this board ... best bet would be to use the search tool at the top. I second that. The ultra lite's would be the shoe to start with and then you just work out the techniques from there. Watch videos on youtube. And if you're having trouble with any specific part of the bend, or any part of the technique that perhaps you can't figure out, just ask about it. There's alot of info that you can't find in the search engine.

Don't waste your money on the ultra lite's. They'll be to weak for you. You mentioned that you bent a 00 lite. Now did the shoe specifically say "LITE" on one of the legs? If so, then you're already to strong for the UL's. The lite that you bent, was it rimmed (where it has a crease which runs along almost the entire horseshoe) or plan (still has a "rim" but the shoe is flat)? If we know what that shoe was, it's easier to go from there.

Hey that's pretty good. If you get that one on video and do it with sub 1.25" wraps it'll get you on the texas horseshoe twister with an F1 bend. Which would be pretty awsome.

Good shoes to progress on from here would be the st croix lite plain "00". st croix lite rimmed "3". Any of the diamond classic shoes from DC00-DC2.
