MitchSA
I believe its important in life to take note of failures and not just list success, Yesterday was my official IM red nail cert, my goal was to begin reverse style and get a 35deg kink then finish off with the usual crush down. Funny enough the nail moved via reverse to 35 quickly, then the real shock happend, i bearly crushed it down any further using the crush down, I was very upset and confused. But i now believe the value of committing to a goal. If it was easy and it came without pain then what would i achieve in the end? nothing!! So i failed my cert, some lessons were learnt, reverse bending without rubber bands to secure the wraps is no joke!! and the effort required to start a reverse bend can sapp your strength for the crush down unless you are a GAZZA haha, Thank you for reading friends in GRIP! Koura
Been thinking... I think you can't use rubber bands with cert?
MitchSA
I know that's why i did not use rubber bands

David_wigren
You're one of the strongest and athletic benders in here. So the red cert is yours if you commit to it. Heck you'll probably be able to bend an edgin without rubber bands in IMP's if you gave it some time.

climber511
Sorry to hear it but failure can lead to greater success in the future.
bencrush
Sorry to hear about the setback. But it's cool that you posted it here anyway! Since it's a lot harder to talk about the "failures" than the successes. I wouldn't call it a total failure since you DID reverse kink a Red to 35 degrees! You'll nail it the next time man! jpmmkrahling
Sorry to hear about your set back. It sounds like you have the right mind set to move foward now. It takes alot to post about a failed attempt so personally i think your already moving in the right direction. I'm sure next time it will not even be close.
