Csmith724
Fellow benders, I want to start trying to incorporating more odd objects into my bending program like horseshoes, wrenches and the like. I'm unsure, however, of the way to go about doing this. Particularly I want to know what the different methods and techniques are to go about tackling stuff like this. Any help is good help. Thanks, Chris
Tim71
Most odd objects such as wrenches are bent by pushing down over the thigh, then crushing between the thighs or pumping down on one thigh. Big thing is to know what you're trying to bend. What many people won't tell you is that not all crescent wrenches will bend. As a matter of fact, most wont. Very important to know what to look for and test it. Companion wrenches from Sears or K-mart are a great measuring tool as are the tappet wrenches by craftsman. Csmith724
Thanks, Tim. I am still trying to work on my horseshoe form. (It doesn't help that I only had the 1 shoe that came with my FBBC bag) I managed to get a solid bend in it, but couldn't crush it down to make it 180. I haven't yet tried a wrench or anything other than stock, nails and bolts, but I'm looking forward to giving them a shot.
Tim71
Practice by bending nails, spikes, cut steel all by braced bending in the same technique. Later, Tim
