EricMilfeld
Carl, do you also have an actual Blob of any weight to train with? I've noticed a big difference in the feel of block weights and Blobs. Before Paul could lift the Blob he was easily picking up his 50lb. hex, while I couldn't budge the hex, despite being able to do the Blob 50 with additional weight. jpmmkrahling
Besides not being able to keep the weights attached Are you purposely not using your index finger? Instead of adding weights you could always use fewer fingers kind of like the way you are but try your pinky & ring fingers. And like Eric said, lifting an actual blob is alot tougher. I was easily doing 35 lb hex, but could not breat the 37.5 lb blob off the floor. But hey, it's day 2.
CaptainCrush
I've never tried to lift a hex block weight before but for me not using my index finger just feels more comfortable. Maybe depends on hand size?
Magnus
I've never tried to lift a hex block weight before but for me not using my index finger just feels more comfortable. Maybe depends on hand size? ^ Dropping the index index finger lets smaller handed guys get their other fingers farther down the side of the block. I'll have to let my training partner know, he is having a hard time transitioning from a 35 lb hex and a 37.5 lb blob and his hands are around 7".
