Vice
So I'm getting back into bending for the first time in years and I have a bunch of steel coming from a few different places, but it's been a while and still isn't here yet, all I have are some 60d galvanized spiral nails from Home Depot. How do you guys deal when you have nothing to bend. I can't take it! The obsession has taken over and I have nothing to bend. So how do I pass the time until I have some steel? I need serious help. bencrush
Find something to wrap up tight in your leather pads and do isos with it. A thick piece of dowel might work. 1/2"X6" should be immune from breakage for a while at least. Or do towel DU and Reverse isos. Those helped me figure out reverse style enough to hit my first Bastard.

I don't wait anymore. I go straight to my local steel supplier and buy straight from them for dirt cheap and go home the same day and bend it

Vice
Thanks guys for the ideas and comments. I've been reading the boards like crazy and doing isos when I could. I definitely plan on getting a local supplier but I figured it'd be cooler if I wait until I'm stronger so that if they ask me what I'm doing with it I can give a demonstration 8) Good news is that I did get some steel in today and just had a bending session. It felt great.
