tja
Tonight I decided to give Ben's stock a try. Got this with two hits and it was surprisingly easy. How does this stock calibrate? CaptainCrush
I've never bent 5/16 drillrod before but with the 11/32 and 3/8 stock, Speedy Metals 0-1 drillrod is much harder than equivalent Fastenal 0-1 drillrod. Not sure where Ben gets his drillrod at.
gazza
The 5/16 drillrod ive used was harder than a bastard but easier than a shiny to finish. Congrats thats a decent bend what style did you use.
tja
Thanks! It was a reverse bend.

matthcarl
Nice going! I bent some 5/16" 0-1 drillrod from Fastenal and I thought the kink was probaly easier than a bastard, but still no joke. I'd have to try some again to get a feel for the kink. Overall, it was much harder than a bastard.
bencrush
Fantastic bend Joonas! It's Fastenal and it's harder than the 440ish Bastards for sure. It calibrates at 475 I think, on Eric's chart.
