Upper body work. Here's what went down:

Dips--

1x5xBW WU

4x5xBW+90lb(345# total)

2x10xBW

Wrist Roller--

2.5'' dia., with 80lbs. attached (PR!! added 10 lb.)

all the way up, down, and reverse. 3 sets till failure. Really works the thumbs as well.

KB press from base of back of neck--

2x10x24k each arm (smokes the tris.)

Shrugs--

2x10x48k 'bell in front/ each arm

2x10x48k 'bell in back/ each arm

Decided I may not implement the Louis Simmons plan after all. It seems like a good one, but is a whole lot more complicated than I am looking for at the moment. I am going to stick to basics for right now, as I am still getting good gains with em'.

Heh, I wouldn't argue with WSBB method being complicated ;) There are plenty of good routines out there though. Are you going to stick with the 5x5 then? Like my buddy said last night, "it doesn't matter where you're getting the gains from, as long as you're getting them."

I think I'm gonna stick with the high weight/low reps on most things and just keep pushing until the gains stop. Then I'll change it up. :cool

Deadlifts. Haven't done these in months. I am tall, and have a long torso, so my leverage sucks for DL. Set a decent PR though. Here's what went down:

DL's--

1x5x135 WU

1x5x225 WU

1x1x365

1x1x415 PR!!

2xFAILx435 :angry: Got it to my knees. Off the floor was easy, so I'll have to do some rack pulls soon to beef up the weak range.

1x4x345

1x5x315

Finished up with a set of 10 kettlebell swings with the beast.

Did some more DO bending tonight. Went WAY better than last time. Also did some braced bending, card tearing, and sledge levering. Here's what went down:

Bending--

DO

6''x5/16'' G2 WU

Huge Shiny (Easy, but took a while to find my groove again. :rock )

Braced

8'' crescent wrench (Menards brand)

12'' spike from Tim I (CRAZY HARD!!!! :blink )

Sledge Levering--

to head- 15 reps each arm (10lb., 36'' handle. EASY)

to rear-10 reps each arm

supinated to pronated 10 reps each arm (1/2 way up handle)

Card tearing--

2 decks of Bikes (EASY!)

Pull ups/Chins

10 of each x BW (w/ a boost off the bottom from my calves :blush )

Man some nice entries on your last log there! Easy Huge Shiny? Haha, awesome! And an easy 15 reps with 10lb sledge? :rock How big of a sledge can you lever overhead? You should be good for at least a 20, eh?

Thanks Darin! I have levered a 20lb. to the face before, as well as to the rear. I also levered a crazy(20+ lb. I think?) log hammer Scott George brought to Gripmas.

Leg day. Here's what went down. Just getting over my whole family having strep, and I caught a little chest congestion funk in the process.

Squats--

1x5x135 WU

1x5x225 WU

1x5x365

1x5x385

1x3x400 (lost focus on the 4th rep and fell out of my groove)

Behind leg DL--

Heels on 2x4's

2x10x185

Squat with 24k kettlebell held overhead--

2x5 each arm

Hindu Squats--

Done immediately after KB squats, did 30 as fast as I could

Misc--

Closed my #3 righty a few times, and I think I closed it once lefty(too close to tell). Done in between squat sets.
