Seems to be a lot of people (relatively) talking about the possibility of 8X5...can't we wait until 7X5 has been done?

Nonsense.

I've been giving this a lot of thought - I honestly don't know just yet. So far I think I'll try to finish out 2008 at Gripmas with hopefully a PR or two and then work towards 2009.

Hi everyone.

Yesterday i found an inch dumbell (172ib) in Löddeköpinge Sweden and lifted it (both with left and right) ca 15-20 cm onsight, this made my day! :-). So finding and try the inch i can already cross of my goal list for 2009. I also managed to close the MM1 replica 1st try both left and right.

My friend "Fajer" closed the MM3! replica first try with right hand and lifted the "inch" a little higher than me.

A big thanks to Arne P and Martin A for showing us the ropes and we learnd a lot from these two grippsters. Hope we will be invited to train soon again...

150 pound rolling thunder, pinch 2 35's (this will take a lot of work), pinch 5 10's, rep #2 15 times. With regards to crushing grip, I am only going to try to increase reps with my #2 for now. My focus is armwrestling, and I think at this point just increasing reps in strength for now is a good crosstraining exercise.

Don't have too many, but I'm hoping that by concentrating on just a few I'll have some success!

MM0

Deadlift 500 at 165 BW (currently in the neighborhood of 450ish at 159 BW)

Compete in a DL meet (where I will pull 500 at 165!)

Stay Healthy

Thanks - that's pretty much what I train for though (how I ended up here coincidently, looking for ways to keep the ole grip in check as the weights got bigger), the other two parts of my PL big three aren't very impressive, in fact my bench press is downright humiliating comparitively - maybe if I hit my DL goal I'll feel confident breaking out of the "specialist" mode and be able to compete in a full meet

I haven't given up on the goal of closing a #4 during this year, but if so happens it will be my goal for the next year as well. But I will raise the bar for myself and say I will be shooting for multiple #4 closes on different #4's.

I would expect nothing less from you, Teemu.

Well over 1000, I'd estimate maybe 1200. I thought Eric had attempted to cal something similar but ran out of plates. I know he did that with 1/2" Brass but I'm not sure about 7/16" CRS.

You're well capable of one Chad, work your ass off this coming year and I have no doubt it will soon be within reach.

Sure you don't mean a one hand lift?

220kg on a one hand deadlift is really impressive :cool:blink
