The last time I was at Ben's he loaned me his 146lb #3 to work with and close. I had been working with it for a while and had closed it within the width of a piece of paper a number of time's but just no cigar. I had closed it a couple of time in 3 different workout's but it was'nt what I call a good close no question close. But tonight I did a good warm up and got 3 good MMS closes it kind of sureal I have been work on this for 4 year's I don't think it has sunk in yet. I know to some this not a big deal but but I have thousand's of closes and hour's of training in those 3 closes I MUST BE NUT'S !!!!!!!! :blink

Great news Jason, congrats man!!! :rock I knew it was only a short matter of time. I'm going on the road for 10 days so I won't be able to hear more about your work with it. Hope you keep smashing the hell out of it though! You've certainly earned the strength to close it.

CONGRATS, BRO! Mashing a CoC #3 is a great accomplishment, indeed.

Does it really take that long to close a #3? If you actually have been training for that long, I have a lot of respect for you. Hopefully you'll be on the cert list soon.

Man don't take away from his accomplishment, the #3 is a lifetime goal for many. I don't think he has focused just on grippers either, he is an all around strong grip guy.

Great job man. Also whats this talk of a 190lb #3?! That is ridiculous!! That must be the highest calibrated #3 so far.

I'm not in any way taking away from the accomplishment. I'm just really impressed that he kept at it for all that time and was finally able to close a gripper that few can even budge.

I would agian like to thank you guy's I am overwhelmed by the response to this thread. I try to do the same for other as well as I can there has been some question of the 4 year's I will say in that time I suffered a wrist injury from armwrestling that toke me from closing a #2 back to zero it toke me 9 month's to get back to that level. So that has some bearing on the length of time I would also like to thank Ben gave me some good tip's over the last couple of year's and let me borrow his baby. I will just say one more thing it is very cool to be around other people that share my passion. I have told some people at work and they say o wow that's great like this weather you guy's know the deal. :D
