tja
Thanks John, enjoying the new steel! Got the shiny down to 120+ degrees. I think it's my best stainless bend so far, as it was about 1/2" off-center. Picture: http://www.gripboard.com/index.php?autocom...si&img=7691 Tried a hex as well. Man that stuff is tough. I just managed a 2mm kink, that was it.

tja
Thanks David! Any idea how these hex-bastards calibrate? I just got them last week.

CaptainCrush
You'll get it man!! Watch out for those shiny's, they are known to play jokes on ya by turning slippery inside the wraps which in turn causes said bender to punch himself in the jaw unexpectedly! foxyj75
Killer job!! Keep after that shiny, you'll get it real soon!! My biggest tip on the hex is to hit it for a really long(7-10 sec.) time on each hit. Seems like it is stuck, but if you keep pushing, it'll start moving. Keep up the good work, some really nice bending there! With that shiny so off center, I see a big shiny going down in the not so distant future. Congrats!! tja
Thanks guys! I've been wondering the pads slipping during the crushdown myself, too. It's annoying
bencrush
Thanks guys! I've been wondering the pads slipping during the crushdown myself, too. It's annoying Great job on that Shiny Joonas! Your 8mm Stainless has no doubt gotten you ready for the Shiny and more. When the bar slips around on the crushdown you can cram more of the bar into the wraps. Or put another way, push the pads closer to the center mark of the bar. That'll make it quite a bit tighter.
