Remember though that Josh and Tommy have closed a #4. I know that Josh has a smaller wrist than I do. I assume Tommy does too. Not sure about Joe Kinney, but judging by the picture of his thumb in the book...it's probably not very small from all the manual labor he did.

Ben,

You mentioned Joe Kinney wrist may not be small do the manual labor he did. My understanding, and guys correct me if I wrong, is that you can change your wrist size. No muscles there. Wrist size is connected to bone size. Anyone want to weigh in here...

My wrist size has changed over the years. Adding significant amounts of weight in general will definitely increase the wrist size a little. In my case I was 150lbs in 2000. Wrist was 7" TOPS at that time. I got differing measurements on both wrists. The left wrist was 6 and 13/16". My right was about 6 and 7/8". Since it's very hard to get fat wrists, I attribute it to weight gain and grip training.

Well, you learn something new everyday... Didn't know they grew. Now I know.

can't you also increase the size by doing a lot of work that works your tendons? like extensor work and stuff, wouldn't that thicken the tendons which would in turn thicken your wrist a little?

7 1/4"

I know it doesn't really affect strength but I can't help but wonder about durability. Load distribution and all that for levering and bending. I have been hitting the hammer levers allot lately and my wrists will get really unhappy sometimes, having huge 8" + wrists could only help with this I would imagine.

I wonder where Slim falls here?

8 3/4" at point where hand meets wrist (LH). 8 1/4" at the same point on the right side. I really have to bring up the RH.
