G-Man
Between 30 and 45-minutes of my thick bar dumbbell wrist curl workout – 20-40 reps with 120-pounds – I decided to see what I could thick bar dumbbell deadlift. Holding strength has never been a strong point for me, so I was quite surprised to get 190-pounds with each arm. If I were fresh, I think I can do 200+ with my right arm. My gym’s next biggest dumbbells are the 207.5-pounders. If I can’t do them now, I think it would be attainable with a couple months of specialized training. I’d like to be able to do 207.5 on a 2.2” bar for a 10 second hold. If I attain this, would it be worthy of YouTube? I am not a grip guy but an arm wrestler who has taken some time off to attain some lifting goals.
Magnus
Heck, yeah, that'd be good. Put it on.
showlarson
Worthy of youtube...have you been on youtube? Thats probably the most unintentionally hillarious thing I have read in a looooong time! Sarcasm aside though-seems like that would be a nice lift so put it on there!
G-Man
Thanks for the feedback. I'll shoot to get some video done a week from today - WITHOUT doing 30-45 minutes of heavy wrist curls beforehand. I'll shoot for 190-pounds on a 2.2” bar for 20-seconds right and 5-seconds left and get it uploaded to TinyPic. I'll do these two to four times a month for a couple months and see if we can get that 207.5-pounds in that time frame.
