gripparen
How big step is it from coc#3 to coc#3.5?
mobsterone
Half way between a three and a four. See wire size/ratings/poundage in the FAQ.

Chris Mathison
Its a big jump in my opinion. It's a prett big step. Difference between 1 and 1.5 is 28lbs, 3-3.5 is 33lbs. Adding 33lbs of crushing force to an already high poundage crush is not easy.
CoC#3
A big one. It was 1 year between my first #3 close and my first #3.5 close with the gripper inverted, and 18 months from my first #3 close to my first normal spring facing up close of the #3.5 (with a 20mm set). gripparen
Is it any meaning to buy a coc#3.5 for negatives when I can close my coc#3? Or shuld I wait until I can do reps with my coc#3?

If you think negs work well for you i don't think a #3.5 would be too heavy to use if you are closing the #3 for singles.

showlarson
I personally would gear myself towards closing the BB Elite which IMO is a more appropriate step between grippers.

CoC#3
mobster's elite that i closed is a 3.3-3.4.
Teemu I
Well if you get a new Elite, it's most likely harder than #3.5. Latest Elites seem to be harder. So for easier step up from the #3, I'd say get a #3.5.
