For The Guys Who Haven't Closed The #3 Yet. (like Me)

Hey guys,

I've been training intermittently for maybe 4 years. I recently started again, determined to get the #3 after fracturing and displacing my dominant hand (doing cleans no less!). I've gotten the #2.5 down to 1 mm and more recently repped the #2 6 times. I've set myself a tentative goal to get the #3 by the end of this summer.

Usually 2 or 3 days a week I'll attempt the #2.5, try for reps on the #2, do holds and negatives, and once I find my IM close-the-gap straps I'll use them too. As summer approaches I'll ramp up the intensity and do some more grip exercises, including bending again.

I hope to see some good progress for all of us here!

Hey all,

I was at your level just 5 months ago, closing the #2s for 3 - 4 reps to just recently closing the #3 from a parallel set. I used KTA all the way from my progression from #1 to #2 and to the #3s.

Trust me, if I can do it... so can any bum who puts some effort into it!

Well, I guess I just qualified to this group. Closed my RB180, which I've heard is about #2, after about two weeks of receiving it.

Next goal is the RB210, etc. I'm training grip 3 times a week, different stuff each day, except for grippers each day.

I have had my #1, #2 and #3 grippers for about 2 years. I was quite close to close the #3 but I have never managed to closed it though. I closed the coc#2 with wide/no set last week

My goal is to be stronger and injury free, and close the #3 of course :).
