Hubgeezer
Hey John, the rules say full lock out. I thought you were going to use the standard European 2 inches. It has to be 2 inches, right? We are not talking 381.5 to lockout???? Hubgeezer
Bearcat 74
Holy bat, Crapman! That is insanity! Good work Dave!
John Beatty
2" is right. I forgot to change it. I'll get it done. From the vid it looked to be a good 4", maybe a little bit more.

Mikael Siversson
Is this the world record for the v-bar using either the fbbc or euro set up? Incredible lift Dave!Austin No it is obviously not a WR as it is a training/certification lift and quite possibly done with uncalibrated weights. Mikael Linden has pulled an uncalibrated 176-ish k's (387lbs) in competition. Dave is about 10k behind Jim Wylie in competition lifts on the LGC v-bar and also about 10k behind Jim in training lifts. However, Jim has done v-bar lifting longer than Dave so it will be very interesting to see how far Dave can go in this lift after a year or two. Anyway it is indeed a fantastic lift. I hope Dave will get an opportunity to compete in a full two hands grip competition as I believe he can beat Jims 317-ish k's total WR with some margin. Dave did lift 322k in the 2005 GGC but this result is not fully comparable to a regular both hands competition where all lifts count and are directly comparable point wise (rather than "just" having to go all out with your weaker hand in the hope of equalling your result with the stronger hand). dthor
Thanks for everyones kind comments. Austin, a 1" v-bar is used for American Records. It's slightly thicker than the LGC / Euro bar. Mikael, always a pleasure hearing what you have to say.
