skinbones
I'm a little late, but nice job on the RED! When u getting certed? With the pinching, you can always do holds for time, try using or not using chalk, and with the one hand pinches, try cleaning the plates, or at least high pulling them. I was forced to workout the day after the gym, as opposed to the same day. This always results in a bad day of bending. Next week I'll be back on track. I always thought that if I bent on the same day that I would be weaker for whichever was to follow. Maybe I should bend on workout days and get full rest days in. Left Side
Today was strapholds and wrist curls, but there was a charity basketball tournament on, so I barely had time to get some singles is. I'm frustrated that I wasn't able to take the proper time to warm up and give that #3 a serious attempt. I'll have to wait a week to try again. Left Side
I've decided to change my form on one hand pinch, holding the plates closer to the tips of my thumb and fingers. This will cause my numbers to drop, but it makes the lift harder and my hands stronger.

Left Side
After the second red I had some bad bruising in my left palm, so I finished up with kink practice on a 80d that I had cut to seven inches. Those things are a fair step harder than a red in the kink, I've been told that the crushdown is easier though. Next week I've got some unfinished business with that 6.5" red. Number Ten Ox
Awesome, are you doing leather wraps now or still the Blue Devils? Remind me again what the 80d is? Where do you get it?
Left Side
I am using the IM wraps, at least until I cert on the red. Now that you mention it, I labelled that wrong. It was in fact a 100d nail, (like a 60d but 8" long), not an 80d. I cut it to 7" and went from there. Muscle Turtle tells me the crushdown in easier than a red, but I was only using it for kink practice so I will have to wait to find out for myself. Left Side
Going to invoke two changes into my training. I am going to start using my ISG inverted (pivot down), to hit my first two fingers harder. Thanks to Matt Helmer for the idea. And also with the ISG I am going to start doing reps, instead of just singles. I have never used reps before in grip training, I'm a singles advocate, but I figure I should at least try it if I'm going to have that opinion. don chi
I think he's just busting your nards. When you were talking about using reps he probably thought you would use higher reps. It's tough to go from singles to using reps isn't it?
