None of the difference in rules bodes well for a Euro grip 2006. I hope Euro standard rules will be used then. They should because using a different standard hasn't led to better lifting outside of those events  :dry

The Euro rules would have to be adhered to at the next European Championship. This is part of the package. Grippers, LGC v-bar replica and the Euro pinch standard. I have not heard any Germans indicating that they would not stick to the Euro rules and events.

However, this was not the European Championship. There are certainly no rules regulating national grip championships.

Kind of negates all the discussion and planning that has gone before but it IS up the the promoter. But like I said, differing rules and still lighter lifts...??

Even though I unterstand that the one or the other do have personal interests in seeing the placement of some competitors:

1. Read the topic of the thread, I got home from the contest and just wanted to congrat one of my best friends in the grip scene for a tremendous comeback.

2. No one, even Theo didn't knew his placement right after the comp.

So even if I wanted (which I didn't) I couldn't mention him. I didn't even mention my friends Gerrit, Burkhard, Tom and Erik. No discredit was intentioned here.

So, please wait for the results in the contests forum. Thats the place for all placements and results. Thanks.

But your rules are your rules - so why not allow him to even merit a mention in the 'who did what and placed where'. Flo won, Franky placed 2nd and if he had been allowed to place the Dutch would have won. Easy enough.

So you don't know who lifted what or who won - you just congratulated Flo even though you don't know? Nor will will until we see the results. So I will congratulate Flo on competing but not on winning until we see the results we are still waiting on - in the contests section. :dry

As for personal interests - naturally. I've met you, Burkie, Eric, the Dutch etc etc and would like to see recognition given where it's due. FOR ALL.

Flo is the new german champ.

Check it on your own, if you like it more officially:

Steve,

we will post them as soon as Hermann does it.

He usually presents a full report including pics on his site.

Thats the reason he needs a bit longer.

What you will gather from the weights lifted is:

Flo is the german champ and Theo performed better than him as a guest competitor.

No more, no less.
