Didn't have much time for a grip workout today so the volume was light. I was watching Get A Grip while I worked out so I got in the mood to focus on grippers I couldn't close, thus the chokers and negatives. My MMG4 rated the same as my #3.5 (both @ 180lbs) so I got a nice workout range in there. I missed the #3.5 by about 1/2" with a MMS so that's the range I used to put the MMG4 in a choker. Not having to "waste" the energy on a set I was able to close a similarly rated gripper from the distance I missed it. Hopefully after working on them for a a little while I'll be able to bridge the gap and get them closed. Time will tell...

Lots of work today with the pony clamps.. I used the 3202 for dynamic thumb and the 3201 for ring+pinky work. Added some rubber bands to make things harder. Also used IM Trainer and #1, #2 for ring+pinky work. It was kind of impromptu so I didn't track what I did exactly. I just kept doing stuff until I was fatigued.

8/7/08

Wrist day. I realized after I started my workout that I gave my smaller plates to my nephews so I need to pick up some more for the Heavy Hammer II (HH2). I also tried my hand (pun intended) at a deck of cards. I saw them sitting in a box on the floor below my grippers and they just called to me. I really only noticed because I dug in the box looking for the athletic tape to wrap the Axe handle with. It has been a long, long time since I did any of those and was actually surprised that I got the entire deck relatively easily. It was kinda fun doing those again. I did a 1800pg phone book at work a couple of weeks back just because I was bored and it was sitting there on my desk.

My hands are actually pretty sore from my last gripper workout. I like that...it means I worked them pretty hard yesterday. :)

Wide set work today. I figured out I really suck @ CCS. I am better at TNS than CCS. I feel like I got a really good workout though. By the end, I couldn't even close the Trainer. Rest between sets was about 1 minute. Total workout time was 30 minutes. I started trying to do thumbs at the end but was too wasted to do them so I'll do another workout later a work the thumbs and extensors.

Thanks knyaz! Hopefully I'll be able to close it before the end of the year. 1/2" is a lot to go though...

It was nice Mat, thanks! :cool I like the thick handle. Makes it quite a bit harder than a smaller one, I think.

MMS work today. Not bad. I got my MM2 for the first time in a while, and pretty easily too, so that was encouraging. I was a bit disappointed that I missed the RB330N. I thought I would get that one. I guess that's what happens when I wait until I am tired to do a grip workout.
